This image is exactly the kind of loose, greyscale landscape/mechanical stuff I am interested in executing. but I also know that if I learn what the pedals in a car do, I might at least get the car in motion. To use a car analogy, I know I will never be a race car driver. I have worked with enough natural talent illustrators to know that I know I am never going to be, like, good, but think it will be fun to learn something. If someone could recommend resources for a no-talent beginner to study, I would be appreciative. I know which end of the stylus to hold in my twisted, clumsy paw, but that's all! Things I do not have: any aptitude, any instruction. Things I have: an iPad Pro, an Apple Pencil v2, pictures in my head, and (as soon as I click the button) Procreate. * EDIT TO ADD * - thanks everyone, I got so much more than I expected.
